Covid-19 Vaccine – Information for Patients

Bicton Medical Clinic is pleased to advise that we are an approved vaccination provider for COVID-19 vaccines.  We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisation for our local area and the wider community.

We have been advised by the Department of Health that we will commence the Covid-19 vaccination program in Week 4 of Phase 1B of the program.

To find out when you are eligible to receive the vaccine, Click here … and complete the COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Checker.  This will tell you which phase of the rollout you are in.

Like most practices who are part of the Covid-19 vaccination program, we have been allocated small numbers of vaccines.  This means that it will take some time for our practice to be in a position to offer the vaccine to all of our eligible patients.

Our reception staff are being overwhelmed with enquiries regarding the Covid-19 vaccination program.  We will post new information on our website as it becomes available.  It is preferable that you check our website for information to keep our phone lines clear for regular general practice enquiries.

Thank you for your patience.

Covid Safe

We are here to support all of our patients in the best way we can. Please notify reception immediately if you are feeling unwell and / or have any flu-like symptoms, including the below, or have been in contact with a person known to have COVID-19.

We would like to encourage our patients to not neglect their healthcare and to continue with their usual regular check-ups, procedures and immunisations. Our Doctors are available for face to face consultations and via telehealth.

What we are doing to be Covid safe

To maintain the safety of our patients and staff, we have implemented COVIDSAFE practices in our centre:

  • Patients will be screened before entering
  • Protective screens have been installed at reception and floor stickers on the floor ensures patients are 1.5m from the reception
  • Chairs in waiting rooms have been spread out to comply with physical distancing
  • Doctor consult rooms have also been arranged to comply with physical distancing
  • The center is thoroughly cleaned throughout the day

What you can do to be Covid safe

Here’s how you can help:

  • Please answer the COVID-19 screening questions on arrival
  • Maintain physical distancing
  • Please keep space between yourself and the patient seated next to you
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and use the hand sanitizers provided
  • Respect staff and follow their guidance as they are here to help
